Visiting the Lodge
Visitors from recognized lodges are always welcome!
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, with a meal or light refreshments at 6:30 and the meeting starting at 7:30.
While a coat and tie is preferred, we'd rather have you as-is than have you stay home because of your attire.
Joining the Lodge
In order to become a Mason, one must be a man, at least 21 years of age, have a good reputation, and believe in a Supreme Being and the immortality of his soul. He must also have been a Georgia resident for at least a year.
When a man has a desire to join, and meets the requirements, the next step is to contact a Mason and ask about joining. When selecting a Lodge to petition for membership, he should consider various aspects, such as the location of the Lodge, what nights the Lodge meets, and if he feels like he fits in - each Lodge has its own flavor and customs; some meet in tuxedos and suits, while others meet in slacks and polo shirts. It is also helpful to ask friends who are Masons to recommend a Lodge, and to visit its public functions and meals, to get to know the Brethren.
Once he has decided which lodge to join, he should ask a Mason for a petition. This needs to be filled out completely and recommended (signed) by two Maons who have known him for some time and think he would make a good Mason; at least one of them must be a member of the Lodge he is petitioning.
Once the petition is fully complete, it should be turned in to the Lodge Secretary. The Lodge will handle the rest of the process from there.
